Biography
Biography:
More than 70 years ago, the Mackrone family started selling pizza at a restaurant near the Trenton fairgrounds in New Jersey. It was going pretty well so they decided to open a shop on the Seaside Heights boardwalk, which was also successful. One day they decided to jump in their car to take a fun road trip down to south Jersey. They ended up in the little town of Wildwood, which had become a hot vacation spot. They loved the town and decided to open up a shop on Wildwood's boardwalk.
The grand opening on Memorial Day weekend 1953 didn't go so hot. As a matter of fact, it poured rain all weekend and they only sold 8 pies the entire weekend! But this wasn't an indication of the success they were soon to have in the coming decades--eventually they had 4 locations and have become one of Wildwood's and New Jersey's most famous pizzerias.
What to expect from a Mack's pizza? A thin crust, cheddar-drive cheese blend, and a sweet tangy sauce.

MACK's is such a staple to our shore experience!! We've been eating Mack's for 40+ years. I love the thin crust, the cheese is awesome and how can you argue with a sauce that's brought up from a Vat below with a hose! It hits the spot every single time!! It's even GREAT on the Beach!!

My entire family and I went to Wildwood in July. (22 people total) we lost count on how many pieces of Mack's pizza we ate as a group. Lost count around 175. Mack's is hands down the best pizza on the boardwalk.

Our absolute favorite shore pizza. Love the chedder cheese that makes it nice and greasy too. There is NOTHING like Macks. Tried 'em all and Macks is the winner in our books, and had been for 4 decades.

tried Macks pizza several times over the past years because they always say their the best pizza on the boardwalk, but I never find that to be true! I've tried several pizza places and no one can beat Sams pizza! Macks pizza just is not a good taste pizza, never was.

Not at all what it used to be. Way too greasy, sauce definitely doesn’t compliment the cheddar cheese well (who uses cheddar cheese for pizza anyway?) and the crust is never cooked right YUCK
